Welcome to the Fall Training Site for 2021!

Exciting sessions are in store this year.
- You'll hear a first-hand account of what it's like to participate in a COVID-19 vaccine trial from several WCG employees.
- We’ll be viewing and discussing the Oscar-nominated documentary How to Survive a Plague, a remarkable film about the early days of the AIDS epidemic and the efforts of patients and patient advocates to fight for the development of treatments.
- The documentary will be available for viewing online here starting on September 17th; please watch the film and submit your questions for the discussion panel.
- On Oct. 7th we'll have a panel discussion moderated by HIV/AIDS activist and policy advisor, Cornelius Baker, including the film's author and director, David France, and WCG IRB members Don Zarowney and Duane Wilkerson.
- Dr. Carl Streed from the Boston University School of Medicine will discuss the inclusion of and respect for the LGBTQIA+ community in clinical trials.
- Former Deputy Chief of Staff to FDA Commissioner, Kalah Auchincloss, and medical device regulations expert, Samantha Eakes, will provide an update on FDA oversight of medical device products.
- And of course, WCG IRB’s own Dave Borasky will keep us up to date on the latest WCG policies and regulatory updates.
And, we hope you’ll join us in the afternoon/evening after the training for a fun online interactive social event. You're invited to the WCG IRB Game Night event with Go Remote! Go Remote is NOT your typical video conference platform... it's more fun!
