In the article “Project Management of Randomized Clinical Trials: A Narrative Review” (2015), clinical trial management is most simply defined as what an organization follows to ensure that quality (defined as minimized risks and clean data) is delivered efficiently and punctually.  This talk will feature clinical research experts who have successfully used project management principles to elevate clinical research operations at the site and sponsor level.  The talk will accomplish the following learning objectives:

• describe project management as a function of clinical research
• identify project management methodologies that enhance operations
• provide examples of project management tools and utilization using real-world scenarios
