As measures of clinical trial operational effectiveness becoming increasingly more important for sponsors, CROs, and sites, the key indicators of performance quality should be clear and well-described. In addition to the indicators of performance for clinical trial quality, the KPIs of the relationships between these partnering entities are very beneficial in maximizing clinical trial operations. In this talk, clinical trial experts from both sites and sponsor/CROs will discuss how productive and thoughtful relationships between sites and sponsor/CROs are essential to excellence in clinical research and key performance indicators of the effectiveness of these relationships will ultimately lead to higher quality clinical research. The talk seeks to accomplish the following learning objectives:
- in granular detail, describe the interactions between sites, CROs, and sponsors
- discuss the development of KPIs and utilization in organizational settings
- provide examples and uses of KPIs developed by sites, CROs, and sponsors
