Born in Atlanta but grew up in South Carolina where I met and was fortunate enough to marry a wonderful lady, Marsha. Trained as a radiologic technologist before we moved to Burlington, NC for me to attend Elon (before it was a University) for undergrad while working at a community hospital. Graduated medical school from East Carolina University then on to University of Iowa for residency in Diagnostic Radiology and a Fellowship in Nuclear Medicine. We were blessed with two daughters while in Iowa, Meredith and Hannah. We returned to Burlington for me to work with the local radiology practice where I spent 20 years. While there, I was asked to serve on the IRB. I was a Board member for 14 years, 11 as Chair. Our hospital merged with a larger one and they wanted to use their radiology group. Tired of long weekends and short nights, I looked for alternatives and was fortunate to find a fabulous group of people at Copernicus Group in 2016! I love traveling with my family (especially to the beach), classic rock and blues, a good book and NCAA Football (Go Tigers!). I will travel for good barbecue. I love dogs and have been blessed to be acquainted with some great ones over the years.
