Michelle is the Director of Regulatory Operations and Quality Assurance for Mercy Research, one of the nation's largest fully integrated, community health system-based research organizations. Mercy Research is part of Mercy, one of the top five large U.S. health systems, and their Office of Clinical Excellence whose vision is to create one system of care across all Mercy locations by merging the clinical delivery of care, including clinic, hospital, and virtual into one clinical enterprise. 

Before joining Mercy in 2016, Michelle served in various roles at academic centers and clinics including in clinical and translational research, quality assurance, and behavioral healthcare. As the Director of Regulatory Operations and Quality Assurance, Michelle provides leadership support to Mercy Research's regulatory team, Quality Assurance Manager, and Research Educator. 

Michelle has a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Truman State University and a Master’s of Public Health in epidemiology and biostatistics from Washington University in St. Louis. She is certified in healthcare compliance through the Healthcare Compliance Association.
