Sustainability is a concern in clinical research, as in every other industry. 

This plenary session will include a review of the climate footprint of clinical trials based on Janssen’s analysis accompanied by an assessment of opportunities to reduce that footprint. 

The discussion will include how to address the emerging issue of e-waste from digital health devices, and how we can address low-hanging fruit opportunities like bring-your-own-device strategies and donation programs for leftover trial materials, to improve the sustainability of the clinical research ecosystem.
