Location Name

Description

Many unanticipated lessons were learned in the recent pandemic-dominated years. Clinical trial stakeholders worked collaboratively to develop new therapies in unprecedented times. Innovating involved listening, priority setting, and challenging old paradigms.  While painstaking at times, results occurred helping to bring great accomplishments. How can we leverage these lessons learned to create synergies that can continue beyond the pandemic? This session will bring together representatives of sites and sponsors to gain an appreciation of both site and sponsor perspectives with a focus on:

  • identifying approaches to reduce site burden
  • increasing site capacity
  • accelerating trial timelines
  • quality data
  • integrating the voice of the clinical trial participant

The session will be exploratory and may include:  predictable trial timelines, targeted feasibility, training requirements, effective use of technology, protocol amendments, central labs/imaging, sponsor support for staffing, communication, partnerships, administrative burden, remote monitoring, and timely payments.

Objectives:

  1. What processes changed during the pandemic to accelerate trial start-up and execution?
  2. What solutions have proven valuable that should be incorporated into future trial start-up and delivery?
  3. What are the obstacles to sustaining innovative clinical trial implementation?
