Mary Veazie serves as the Director of Clinical Research Finance at the Houston Methodist Research Institute (HMRI), where she holds responsibility for managing the financial aspects of HMRI's clinical research initiatives. In addition to her role at HMRI, she is the Principal/Owner of Clinical Research Consulting & Education Services, LLC, a firm that offers an extensive array of clinical research financial services. Mary is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with over a decade of auditing experience, coupled with more than two decades of involvement in research at a prominent academic medical center.

During her distinguished career, Ms. Veazie held the position of Executive Director of Clinical Research Finance at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, an office she established to support the institution's extensive clinical research endeavors, which annually generated approximately $4 billion in gross patient care revenue. She successfully led this organization's clinical research billing program. She is also an accomplished author who enjoys sharing her extensive knowledge with others.
