Pamela Tenaerts is Chief Scientific Officer at Medable, Inc.  Dr. Tenaerts leads the scientific office at Medable to drive advancement of decentralized research methodologies with evidence-based best practices.  Tenaerts is one of the leading advocates for innovation in clinical trials, with a unique personal background as a clinical trials investigator, hospital research administrator and academic in both the U.S. and Europe.  Dr. Tenaerts joins Medable from Duke, where she led CTTI’s efforts to develop and drive adoption of practices that increase the quality and efficiency of clinical trials, CTTI is a public-private partnership co-founded in 2007 by Duke and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, comprised of more than 80 member organizations.  With more than 30 years’ experience in the conduct of clinical trials across a number of stakeholders, she practiced medicine in both the emergency department and private practice setting for several years before embarking on a career in research.  She received her MD from Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium, and a MBA from the University of South Florida.  She speaks five languages and has obtained Six Sigma Green Belt certifications.
