Mr. Joron has 36 years of experience within international contract research organizations (CROs) providing services to pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies. He has in-depth knowledge and experience in FDA regulated pre-clinical and phase I-IV clinical trials and class I, II, and III medical device trials.
Mr. Joron is President and Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder of WCG Imaging. During his ongoing tenure, Mr. Joron has established WCG Intrinsic Imaging as a leading imaging core laboratory providing services to pharmaceutical, biotechnology and clinical CROs in 65 countries.
Prior to WCG Imaging, Mr. Joron was Corporate Vice President & General Manager within PAREXEL (NASDAQ: PRXL). With over 9000 employees in 52 countries, and over $1B in annual sales, PAREXEL was one of the world's largest public CROs. At PAREXEL, Mr. Joron managed a clinical division with revenues of $162 Million, 800 employees and clients in 85 countries.
Mr. Joron was previously Vice President and Scientific Director at Management Science Associates and Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at TissueInformatics. He is the past President and CEO of BiblioMondo where he expanded the business internationally.
Mr. Joron began his career at BioResearch, a large public preclinical CRO. He then became one of the founding shareholders of Phoenix International Life Sciences, one of the largest multi-national bioanalytical CROs at the time. During his 8-year tenure at Phoenix, he participated in a $150 million initial public offering. Phoenix was later sold to MDS Pharma for $350 million.
Mr. Joron is an industry expert in ISO certified quality management systems and the FDA QSR regulations as well as GCP, GLP and GAMP.
Mr. Joron holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemistry and Biology and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. He completed his Master’s Thesis on “Contract Research Organizations and the Pharmaceutical Industry”.
