Beatrice Anduze-Faris, MD, is vice president of Global Clinical Compliance & Continuous Improvement (GCC&CI) at Bristol Myers Squibb. In her role, Beatrice supports the company integrated portfolio strategy and quality objectives by providing Good Clinical Practice (GCP) compliance support throughout the organization.

Through the development and implementation of a Clinical Trial Risk Management capability, her organization will help R&D teams build study protocols that aim to address critical scientific questions with sound methodology, while enabling smooth operational execution and inspection readiness at all times.  In addition, other capabilities are being developed in the context of the Quality Management System optimization e.g. Trial Master File (TMF) operations, Clinical Trial Model Documents including Informed Consent operations, Clinical Trial Transparency and Disclosure. etc. Last but not least, a Continuous Improvement framework or Clinical Operations Evolution documents and leads GCP-related initiatives contributing to a Culture of Excellence throughout the organization.

Since joining Bristol Myers Squibb in 1999, Beatrice has held positions of increasing responsibility in commercial, regulatory and medical functions both in the U.S. and internationally. She earned her M.D. in 1993 from the Faculty of Medicine Pierre & Marie Curie in Paris, France, and completed her general medicine residency at the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital where she practiced for several years, caring for people living with HIV / AIDS and conducting clinical research both as an investigator and a clinical monitor, at times holding hands with cancer patients in the context of pain management and end of life issues.
