Peter W. Sullivan is a principal of Sullivan Group, a New England-based brokerage firm providing risk management and insurance services to clients around the world.  He has over thirty years of risk management and insurance experience.

Peter founded Sullivan Group’s Life Science/Clinical Trial Service Industry and Technology Practices in 1995 specializing in global insurance and risk management services for the life science, biotechnology, nutraceutical, testing laboratories, medical and high tech, environmental and clinical trial service industries (clinical development organizations, contract / clinical research organizations, site management organizations, research sites, institutional review boards, e-clinical and clinical consulting companies).

He also co-founded Sullivan Group’s Emerging Markets Risk Finance Practice which provides unique insurance and risk management services for companies from start up to M&A to IPO, as well as corporate governance structure transactions.

Experienced with advisor driven accounts, emerging technology, life science / clinical trial service industry and international risks, Peter’s primary expertise resides in the Global Technology Industry with a special focus on the Life Science/ Clinical Trial Services Industry.  As a broker to a substantial number of countrywide premier emerging technology and Life Science/CTSI accounts, Peter is experienced in manuscripting professional, E&O, Cyber, D&O, product /clinical trial, property & liability and representation & warranty forms to complement these clients’ unique exposures; is a recognized expert in negotiation and placing both Products Liability, Cyber, Directors & Officers, M&A and Professional /E&O Liability Policies; and has extensive experience underwriting international risks.

Peter has attained the Certified Insurance Councilors (CIC) professional designation and is currently pursuing his Licensed Insurance Advisor designation.  He speaks regularly on global insurance and risk management issues relating to the technology, life science, and clinical trial service industries.   He has been invited to talk to the following organizations: The Association of Clinical Research Professionals, Drug Information Association, Regulatory Affairs Professional Society, MAGI East-West, CBI – Clinical Trial Legal and Contracting Forum, as well as at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Services where he served as an adjunct professor.
