Dr. Kavanagh is Senior Scientific Advisor, Gene Therapy, Vaccines, and Biologics  at WIRB-Copernicus Group (WCG). Prior to joining WCG, he was Assistant Professor of Medicine and Institutional Biosafety Committee Vice Chair at Harvard Medical School, and Assistant Immunologist at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He was also co-chair of a Phase 1 clinical trial of a therapeutic mRNA vaccine. He is certified in US Regulatory Affairs (RAC) by the Regulatory Affairs Professional Society.
