Description

Clinical-trial sponsors are continually seeking to make clinical trials faster and to improve the participant experience. Accelerated interest was generated in the adoption of decentralized clinical trials (DCTs) or decentralized components of clinical trials as essential to maintain trial continuity during the COVID-19 pandemic. It involves bringing an increasing proportion of a trial’s activities to the participants remotely or in a participant’s home versus the traditional model of bringing participants to a clinical trial center.  DCTs have now emerged as a desirable option for participant convenience, speed, resource utilization, and use of physician time.  How are sites and sponsors solving the challenges of DCTs?

Join this panel for a discussion on:

  • Are DCTs meeting the desired outcomes and are they increasingly being utilized?
  • Where can decentralization add the most value?
  • Which technologies and capabilities must we access to scale DCTs?
  • Which decentralization best practice solutions and capabilities have been implemented?
  • What capabilities do we need to strengthen to support a shift toward more DCTs?
  • How can we enable research professionals and organizations to change?
